Aaron Sholley

aaronsholleyrealtor@gmail.com

Growing up, I spent almost every summer in Harpers Ferry. My grandparents moved to Harpers Ferry, WV in the mid-1960s and started the Harpers Ferry Toy Train Museum and Joy Line Miniature Railroad, which is still located on Bakerton Road. I loved visiting my grandparents and absorbed my grandfather’s fascination with trains early in life.

My wife and I both were born and grew up in central Pennsylvania. Harpers Ferry and the Eastern Panhandle of WV have always been like my second home. Fifteen years ago, we decided to move here and restore my grandparents’ home and, along with my Aunt and Uncle, keep the Train Museum alive.

In 2005 I started my own car auction business. I have been an auto auctioneer in 8 different states and have conducted real estate auctions as far west as California and south as far as Georgia. Success in the auction business is entirely about building good customer relationships, which I carry forward to the real estate business. Personally, I have been on all sides of the real estate business from owner to seller to investor and landlord. Most recently, I have purchased and rented two homes for positive cash flow and plan to purchase more in the future.

My wife, Sonya, and I are very active in our local church. For the last few years, we have taught Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, which is a course about taking control of our finances, dumping debt, and planning for the future. Sonya and I love classic cars and attend cruise-ins and car shows regularly. In my spare time, I am also a locomotive engineer for the Strasburg Rail Road and the East Broad Top Railroad, both located in Pennsylvania, running steam engines, which I have been running for 20+ years.

With my diverse background and interests, I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life to find and negotiate, or to sell your home.
