I am currently licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Florida, with over 40 years of experience across a broad spectrum of real estate sectors, including Residential Sales, Commercial Sales and Leasing, Lots and Land, Investment, 1031 Exchanges, Owner Financing, Relocation, Short Sales & Foreclosures, Estates, and Business & Asset Sales.

BACKGROUND

Born and raised in Maryland, I began my full-time career as a Real Estate Broker in 1984. After five successful years in sales, I earned my Broker’s license in 1989 and acquired a REMAX franchise in Germantown, MD. The following year, I expanded by opening a second office in Frederick, MD, which eventually became the largest real estate company in Frederick and one of the largest single offices in RE/MAX’s Central Atlantic Region.

In 2003, I collaborated with two other Broker/Owners to establish REMAX 100, a large regional company with 550 Sales Agents across 11 offices, where I served as Senior VP.

In 2004, I founded Caribbean Coast Properties in the Dominican Republic, offering sales and marketing services to small and mid-size developers to cater to the steady influx of foreign English-speaking buyers.

Following the market downturn from 2006 to 2009, I joined a small brokerage as an equity partner. By assembling a team of former colleagues and agents, I helped grow the company into a well-respected organization with 45 agents, offering both residential and commercial real estate services.

Currently, my extensive experience allows me to work seamlessly across various market sectors, including the sale of businesses.

Throughout my career, I have been involved in thousands of transactions, encompassing residential, commercial, investment properties, business sales, 1031 exchanges, and more. I have built and managed large real estate operations, recruited and mentored hundreds of agents, developed and taught training programs, and honed my skills as an effective negotiator. I am also certified in mediation and conflict resolution, have served on various boards, and have been actively engaged in nearly every facet of the real estate industry.

My business philosophy is simple: “Everyone Wins.” I am known among my peers as a professional, friendly, and cooperative partner, always striving to work together to “get the deal done”. My clients view me as a knowledgeable and engaging advocate – someone they trust for solid advice.

PERSONAL

I currently reside in Frederick, MD, but spend several months each year in Naples, Florida, where I hold a real estate license. I am the proud parent of three terrific kids and a lovable granddaughter. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, playing golf, cooking, exercising, sailing, and relaxing at the beach.

I consider myself a team player—articulate, presentable, confident (but not cocky), an effective public speaker, technology proficient, and a quick learner.
