WHO IS KIMBERLY CHEN?
I have always had an interest in Real Estate and decided to take the class to increase my knowledge. Upon completing the class and obtaining my license, I knew this was the career I wanted to move forward in.
After graduating from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1992 I had a career in Social Work and Counseling. My previous career taught me a great deal about working with people and has helped me become a better agent especially with understanding and addressing the stress involved with buying, selling or renting a home.
With almost 17 years in the industry I’ve enjoyed helping my clients with their real estate needs. With my experience and unique approach, I have built my business with very little self-promotion. The majority of my business (about 95%) is referral base.
My business approach has always been very simple:
Do the very best I can and do it with honesty and respect.
Continue my education in order to better serve and to navigate the ever changing laws.
Have an open ear to really hear what my clients’ needs are and always put those needs first.
Just do the right thing each and every time!
My carrier has taken me throughout the state of Maryland in order to help many clients. I’m licensed in the entire state of MD but have extensive experience in: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, Washington and even Queen Anne’s!
One of my roles that I am very proud of is the mentoring of new agents. Several years ago I was asked to help develop a mentoring program at my previous office. I have taken great pride in helping new agents learn and be the best agents they can be.
I was once told “this is your passion” and I truly believe that it is, because I’m helping people. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing a client’s face when we’ve completed their transaction with little to no stress and are completely satisfied with their experience!
In September of 2020 I received my Associate Brokers license. This license led to Samson Properties offering me the position of Assistant Broker to the State of MD in July of 2021 and Managing Broker of Frederick, MD that opened September 2021. It is very rewarding to have this role of guiding agents by reviewing paperwork and assisting with difficult transactions. I work side by side with our Maryland Principle Broker while also running and managing our newest office.
