Born in Baltimore City, Shanita Traynham was raised in a family oriented, faith-based environment. Being a native to Baltimore, as a young child she was able to enjoy the sense of community and history that Baltimore offered.
Shanita attended Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School in Baltimore City where she obtained her training in Accounting and became one of the top students in her class. After high school she worked as an accounting and bookkeeper for 10 years in Baltimore City and surrounding counties. As an Accountant she was afforded the opportunity to utilize her love of organization, problem solving and budgeting. After her career in accounting, Shanita retired and took on the role of Wife and Homeschool Mom. As a full time Homeschool Mom, she was able to incorporate her business skills and savviness to create a functional learning environment for her children and others in the homeschool group (UMOJA Christian Homeschool Support Group). These qualities landed Shanita a leadership position as President of the group.
Shanita entered the real estate industry professionally in 2019 but her love for real estate didn’t start there! At an earlier age Shanita was passionate about interior design. She would assist her mother with interior design and renovations. Shanita’s maternal grandfather owned his own construction company and renovated hundreds of homes throughout Baltimore City. Inspired by such a rich history in real estate, she has acquired her own rental properties in Baltimore City along with managed renovation and new home construction projects. Shanita also founded, owned and managed her own brokerage, Traynham & Co Realty focusing on up-to-date knowledge of the market along with excellency to serve her clients.
As she enjoys working with all residential sellers and buyers, Shanita found her niche in selling luxury homes and first time homebuyers. She is an expert in marketing homes with captivating professional photographs and through the most active online marketing outlets that appeal to homebuyers as well as assisting her clients with getting their homes in the best “show ready” condition possible. Shanita is equally experienced in assisting her first time home buyers find their dream home while making the journey to homeownership less stressful as possible. Understanding customer care is paramount, Shanita implements her Red Carpet care which not only allows her to be there every step of the way for her first time home buying clients but it also grants her the pleasure to work towards getting them the best incentives available.
