Tamar serves as a member of the Spotsylvania County Superintendent’s Budget Advisory Council and also volunteers for the Virginia Black History Month Association.  Tamar Myers-Moffatt is also a member of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Realtors.

Tamar earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stony Brook University, (Stony Brook, NY) in 1998 and her Masters of Science degree in Technology and Information Management from The Polytechnic Institute of New York University, (New York, NY) 2006.

Tamar Myers-Moffatt and her husband, Ted Moffatt, met in the mid 1990s, and have been married since the late 1990s.  They have raised three children together; one son Jalen, and two daughters Jordyn-Nicholle and Jayda.  The Moffatt family worships at Victorious Believers Community Church, in Fredericksburg, Va. Their favorite family pastimes include attending their children’s football and soccer games, traveling to New York and South Carolina to visit family, and vacations near the beach.
