Born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, I was raised on the North Shore of Long Island. I graduated with an honors in English from the University of Denver. While my husband was in the Navy, I was fortunate to live in Puerto Rico for 3 years. Our family moved to Northern Virginia when my husband was discharged from the Navy and we ended up buying a house in Falls Church Virginia. Most of my life has been in the Northern Virginia area although a few of the years were spent in southern California and Shepherdstown West Virginia.
I became the mother of three boys and a girl all of whom are now grown. After my daughter was born, I attended and graduated magna cum laude from Northern Virginia Community College with a degree in Fine Arts majoring in Interior Design. I worked as an Interior Designer at a small furniture store in Fairfax for five years.
Finding myself a single parent, I had to find a 9 to 5 job and went into the computer industry becoming a trainor, technical writer, and business analyst. After my children were grown, I decided to become a Realtor and was fortunate to thrive during the good times from 2004 until 2006. I survived during the recession and still am thriving.
I pass along to my buyers and sellers, my in-depth knowledge of remodeling and interior design. I help my sellers stage their houses so they can receive the best price from the sale.
With my broad areas of expertise, I can guarantee a seller a good experience in selling and assist buyers in not only looking at the appearance of a house, but also the condition.
