Originally from Gambrills, Maryland, John spent several years in Germany in the early ’70’s. He is a graduate of Arundel High School in Anne Arundel county and a magna cum laude graduate from UMBC. His degree in business management and communications led him to a career with the Discovery Channel. John worked in their production and operations division prior to becoming a licensed Realtor. John enjoys spending time with family, playing softball and basketball, visiting Civil War sites around Maryland and Virginia and any time that can be spent with his grandchildren or at the beach. John’s work experience includes: 16 years of Operations Management with Discovery Communications in Silver Spring; 15 years as a Licensed Real Estate Agent & Property Manager for the John Burgess Group and as of January 1st, 2020, John partnered with Sandy Schulz to provide a portfolio of real estate services to their collective sphere and beyond!
