I grew up as a military daughter, moving around the country with my family, experiencing the diverse cultures and landscapes of Florida, Michigan, Arizona, and Virginia. Each new location offered a fresh perspective and shaped who I am today. In 1997, we were stationed in the DMV, which became my home base after years of relocation.

I attended Frostburg State University, where I pursued a major in Sociology, drawn to understanding the intricacies of human behavior and society. My curiosity about new places and the desire to explore more of what the DMV had to offer led me to explore dynamic cities like Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Annapolis. Each city holds a unique charm, and I’ve enjoyed immersing myself in their rich cultures and communities.

As a passionate D.C. sports fan, I love cheering on my local teams—the Nationals, Capitals, and Commanders! The energy and camaraderie of the DMV’s sports culture are things I truly cherish. When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with my husband, our two stepchildren, and our dog. Together, we enjoy exploring the area’s beautiful hiking trails and paddleboarding on the local waterways.

My experiences growing up as a military child have taught me the importance of cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships, both near and far, and I take great pride in fostering these connections in my own life. Now as a military spouse, I’ve had the opportunity to truly understand the challenges and rewards of relocating and adapting to new places. Living in the DMV has provided me with a unique perspective, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge of this vibrant area with others.
