Hi Guys! My name is Alden Smith, and throughout my life, I have always tried to balance the liberal arts and the hard sciences – a combination that has made real estate particularly rewarding for me!
During my college years, I embarked on a double major in Physics and Philosophy. While they seem far apart, these topics actually go together better than you’d think and the combination has fueled a professional life of analytical thinking and creative problem solving. As an officer in the Navy I worked in nuclear engineering onboard the submarine U.S.S. Pittsburgh and then later at the U.S. Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda where I negotiated cooperation and support packages for a growing ally.
When I left active duty, Architecture school seemed like the perfect fit to continue this balance of data-driven problem solving with creative expression. In 2017 I earned a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Real Estate Development. This specialized program delved into crucial aspects of the real estate industry, including tax-credit finance, energy efficiency, and community development.
Today, I take the same approach that combines creative design thinking with data-driven financial analysis to ensure that my clients’ home-ownership experience contributes directly to their all-around well-being.
