Dyema LaMar was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and moved to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area in 2012 after her first combat deployment. She comes from a background of 12 years military service, and brings forth skills in leadership, relationship building, critical and creative thinking, and customer service, to name a few.
Dyema attended Morgan State University where she earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She later completed a Master of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance and Security. Her diverse skillset and background give her a unique insight and advantage in negotiating, influence, relationship building, and information technology systems for social media marketing.
Dyema is a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA and very active servant to her community. Dyema’s experiences make her uniquely suited to serve real estate buyers and sellers with the highest level of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and she embodies the personal courage required to go above and beyond what’s “required” to ensure client trust and satisfaction.
Dyema is currently serving as an officer in the United States Army Reserves and has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
Dyema was honored with various awards and received recognition for exceptional service to Army Special Operations and the Intelligence Community. As a military officer, Dyema has mastered skills in leadership, teamwork, planning, execution, and time management unique to the armed forces and brings them to bear in her real estate career to serve buyers, sellers, and renters.
Dyema’s leadership and entrepreneurial spirit lead her to the real estate profession. She decided to leave her full-time career in federal law enforcement to pursue real estate and has not looked back since.
Dyema lives in Washington, DC with her pet Yorkie “Teddy” and spends her free time reading, planning social events, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
