Here’s a little about me-I was born and raised in Iowa, I am ONE of the youngest in my family. I have three sisters and one brother……my brother happens to be my twin! I’m older by 2 minutes!
I am an Army Veteran. I joined the Army reserves in 1986 and was trained as a Supply Specialist initially, then onto Administrative Specialist and finally, trained as a Finance Specialist. My favorite award I received during my reserve days, was The Army Achievement Medal for being selected as the “Outstanding Soldier of the Year”. My drive for excellence has been with me a long time and I brought it with me to my real estate career.
Between my husband and I we have 5 boys. The “boys” are actually young men at this stage, ages 26yr-33yr. Three boys are married and two have blessed us with three beautiful grand girls and two baby boys expected in April & June 2023!! Two are Marines serving our country proudly.
I began my real estate career in July of 2007. That was the high time of quick sales, then came the era of foreclosures and short sales with the housing crisis. My real estate career involves years of various transactions involving those foreclosures, short sales along with new construction, resale and property management. I could not be happier helping sellers, buyers and tenants respectfully, sell and find their new home.
In 2016, I took on the task of studying for my Brokers license and with lots of determination and studying; I passed the exam in July! I am very proud to be an Associate Broker.
In my down time- I love to hang out with my husband. We exercise together whether it’s at the gym, biking, swimming or walking our neighborhood. We are also golfers!! We enjoy cooking, entertaining, traveling, visiting wineries and attending festivals. My husband is from DC and is an AVID DC sports fan so I am enjoying now, more than ever the Nationals baseball, the Commanders football and the Capitals Hockey team.
That’s the short version of me. I would be glad to talk to you about your real estate needs and hopefully be able to help you!
