Serhan has a remarkably well rounded experience in the design, construction and sales of residential real estate.

He has been a Washington DC area resident since 1986. After residing 8 years in the District of Columbia and Maryland, he moved to Northern Virginia in 1994. Until 1996 he worked for a few primary architectural firms in the area. In 1996 Serhan co-founded RK (Reed+Kokuuslu) Architects, P.C., a full service architectural design firm in Fairfax, Virginia. Two years later he founded Batu Homes with the vision of combining his architectural and construction skills to build beautiful homes for modern living.

Serhan holds a B.S. in Architecture from Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. Since 1995 he is a licensed architect registered in District of Columbia and Virginia (1997) and holds a Virginia Class A Contractors license (1998). He is a realtor registered with Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) (since 2009) and affiliated with Samson Properties. He successfully helped hundreds of real estate transactions in his over 20+ year experience in residential sales. His portfolio includes more than one hundred new homes he built and just as many fully or partially remodeled ones. His background and the building knowledge he possesses naturally place him in a uniquely favorable position to assist his clients at a much different level than most agents. Being fully active in the construction industry, he can provide very reliable information on the property condition and cost of improvements and repairs in addition to design ideas.
